Verle Ragsdale-Cardoza

Verle Ragsdale-Cardoza went to be with the Lord on June 2, 2026, at the age of 93 in Hanford, California, surrounded by her loved ones.

A proud and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Verle was preceded in death by her first husband, Lue Edward Ragsdale, and their son, Benny Jack Ragsdale; her second husband, Joe T. Cardoza, and his sons, Joseph Anthony Cardoza and Daniel Wayne Cardoza, her daughter-in-law, Carolyn Ragsdale; brother Jerry Johnson and sister Belvia Sample. Verle leaves behind a beautiful legacy, including her surviving children; Bobby Eugene Ragsdale, Betty Lou Ragsdale, Leon Keith Ragsdale (and daughter-in-law Sheila), and Ernie Cardoza (and daughter-in-law Jeannette). She is also survived by her daughters-in-law Vicke Cardoza, and Debbie Cardoza. Her legacy also lives on through her nineteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, and sister Beulah “Faye” Perriera.

To know Verle was to experience true warmth and boundless generosity. She lived a life defined by selflessness, touching the lives of everyone who had the privilege of crossing her path. She leaves behind a profound legacy of strength, compassion, and unconditional love that will continue to guide and inspire all of us.

A memorial service will be held at Fraternal Hall in Hanford, California, on June 26, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
