Thomas Allen McHone of Hanford passed away on January 24, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. Tom was born March 26, 1939, in Corcoran, California to Alfred and Hassie McHone. He was raised in Laton, California where he went to grade school and graduated from Laton High School in 1958. He went to Reedley College where he graduated with an A.A. Degree in Business. He met and married the love of his life, Freda Miller in 1961 and they made their home in Hanford, California.
Tom worked for 30 years for Wells Fargo Bank as Assistant Vice President in charge of Operations before retiring. Tom also worked 8 years at Avenal State Prison in the Accounting Department. After retirement, Tom enjoyed working in his yard, reading, and playing golf. He was a member of Church of Christ in Hanford and loved spending time with his church family. He was a member of the Kings Country Club for over 40 years.
Tom is survived by his daughter Lynette Lemos (Steve) of Hanford. He leaves his cherished grandchildren Jesslyn Clark (Josh) and Lauren Zimmerman (Mark) both of Hanford, two great grandsons Elijah Clark and Micah Clark of Hanford. Also surviving are his brothers; Casey McHone of Caruthers, CA, Rick McHone of Lakehead, CA and John McHone of Visalia, CA and his sisters; Peggy Smith of Kingsburg, CA, Ellen Bergstom of Laton, CA, Connie Perry of Laton, CA, and Helen McHone of Hanford, CA.
Visitation for Tom will take place on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 9-11am at Whitehurst McNamara Funeral Home, 100 W. Bush St., Hanford, CA. Graveside services will take place on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 11:30am at Oak Grove Cemetery, Laton, CA.
