Soledad "Sally" Ruiz Torres

It was on December 19, 2025, that Soledad (Sally) Ruiz Torres 91 entered into eternal rest.

Sally was born on March 23, 1934, to Rodolfo and Patrocinia Ruiz in Brawley California. When she was 17 years old, she moved with her family to the Hanford area.

She Met Natividad (Nat) Torres and they were married on September 8, 1962. With that marriage she helped raise his son Ed. On November 19, 1965, they welcomed their son Jeffery Torres (Jeff). During 26 years of Marriage, they owned grocery stores in Hanford and Traver California. During their years in Traver they owned and operated a nectarine orchard/ranch.  It was November 28, 1988, that Nat passed. Sally stayed in the Hanford area living near her parents and several of her sisters and during those years she had the delight of her son and grandson (Jeffery Jr.) living next door. When her son Jeff moved to Lodi, she moved there for a short time to take care of them. After Nat passed, she wed Rosendo Gallegos for a few short years before his passing in March of 2001.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Natividad, stepson Ed Torres, Brothers: Arturo Ricardo Edwardo, Armando, Raul, Sisters: Hortencia Gomez, Rachel Jensen, several nephews and Nieces also second husband Rosendo Gallegos.

She is survived by her son Jeff (Carol)Torres, Granddaughter Leslie (Eric), Grandson Jeffery. Great Granddaughters Khloe, Aviana, Esme’. Step Daughter-in-law Vicki Torres, Ed’s sons Clayton and Anthony Torres. She is also survived by her sisters Eva Ruiz, Irma Verdugo, Virgina Zamora, Maria Perez. Several nieces and nephews.

Services for family and friends will be held at Whitehurst McNamara Funeral Home, 100 W Bush St, Hanford on Saturday, December 27, 2025, beginning at 1:30pm.
