Sandra Denham Islas, known for her beautiful smile, passed away April 15th, 2025, at the age of 64. Born April 8th,1961, Sandra was known to be very close to her faith in Christ… Friends and family always considered Sandra to be very cheerful and caring… A daughter of Roger Alfred Denham and Florence Ann Denham, she is survived by her amazing parents and children as follows: Alfred Tamayo III, Reanna Diaz and Roman Tamayo. Following are 11 incredible grandchildren: Frank Diaz Jr., Israel Diaz, Jenessa Diaz, Mya Diaz, D’Angelo Diaz, Jasmine Diaz, Thalia Diaz, Mercedes Tamayo, Roman “Buddy” Tamayo Jr., Ciara Tamayo, and Jayke Tamayo. Her great-grandchildren are Frank “Peanut” Diaz III, Isabella “Bella” Diaz, Ava Diaz, Avianna Rene Tamayo and Gabriel Johnnie Martinez. Sandra’s wonderful siblings are Pennie Denham and Gary Denham. With her passion for animals, she’ll also be missed by our 3 huskies, Nikko, Beau, Pepper and 3 cats, Rio, Smokey, and Sockies.
Sandra graduated from Hanford High School and pursued her career at Fresno Pacific University. Earning her bachelor's degree in psychology at Fresno Pacific University, she was recognized for being in the top 5% of her class. Further into the future, her faith with God led her to attend Koinonia Church in Hanford and later New Beginnings Church in Hanford… She cherished spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren… She had a specific calendar that marked all birthdays and provided gifts to everyone … Leaving no one behind… Sandra always adored spending much of her time with her mother (Florence) and father (Roger)... She graciously invited her parents 2-3 times a week to her residence and welcomed them with hot dishes to enjoy. She made everything possible to keep her mother and father in great comfort… Constantly watching movies with her mother and father, they may have repeatedly watched (Cool Hand Luke, Rooster Cogburn, True Grit, Guess who’s coming to dinner, Gran Torino, The Giant, Mrs. Doubtfire, and Grumpier Old Men probably 7-8 times every year). They simply enjoyed spending time together. Sandra cherished having childhood conversations with her sister Pennie Denham and brother, Gary Denham… Both siblings always provided Sandra with gifts during such holidays and birthdays… And Sandra did the same for her siblings… This is love! In conclusion, she always wanted every chance to spend time with friends and family… And for those not mentioned, please understand that she loved you very much… She welcomed you with a smile and always had the pleasure to listen and help in ways that she could… Sandra gave me the best 20 years a man could ever ask for… She walked by my side in the good and bad times… Protected me from harm and always sought out the good in me…
You’ll be missed, and we’ll always keep you in our hearts and memories… We’ll never forget you, Sandra… Rest in peace, and we’ll all see you soon… My beautiful wife
