Rodney Rodriguez Obituary

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Rodney “Rod” Rodriguez, who passed away peacefully at home on June 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

There are no words that can truly describe the kind of man Rod was or the emptiness his absence leaves behind. To know him was to love him. He had the biggest heart, the warmest smile, and a laugh that could brighten even the hardest days. He loved making people laugh, always had a joke to tell, and carried an optimism that inspired everyone around him. His kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family will forever be remembered.

Above all else, Rod’s greatest blessing in life was his family. He shared an extraordinary love with his devoted wife, Victoria “Bambi” Rodriguez. They were truly inseparable , best friends, and partners . They stood by one another through every joy and every challenge, and their love was evident to everyone who knew them. The life they built together was filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.

Rod was a proud and loving father to Mia Garza and Gina Canter, and a deeply devoted grandfather to Nathan Woods, Baylee Stone, Benny Longoria, Brooklyn Shannon, Brea Longoria, and Jake Shannon. Being surrounded by his family brought him his greatest happiness, and the love he gave each of them will remain in their hearts forever.

He also adored his faithful companions, Buddy and Sammy, and his beloved cat, Tom, who brought him comfort, companionship, and endless joy.

One of the greatest comforts to our family is knowing that, before he passed, Rod gave his life to Jesus Christ. We find peace in the promise of God’s love and grace, knowing he is now free from pain and reunited in Heaven with those who went before him. While we grieve his absence here on earth, we rejoice in the hope that we will one day be together again.

Although our hearts are shattered, we are forever grateful for the years we shared with him or every laugh, every story, every lesson, every hug, and every memory. Rod’s legacy is one of unconditional love. He taught us the importance of loving deeply, laughing often, and appreciating the people God places in our lives.

Our lives will never be the same without him, but his spirit will continue to live on in our hearts, in the stories we tell, and in the love we share with one another. He will be deeply missed every day and lovingly remembered for the rest of our lives.

“To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” — 2 Corinthians 5:8

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts, until we meet again.
