Richard “Bud” Morris
On Thursday, February 29, 2924, Bud, a loving Dad, Grandpa, and great grandfather passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Bud worked his whole life on his ranch in Selma. He loved the land and also rode & trained horses-His true passion! He was a “Hero” to many. He will be greatly missed.
Bud was born in Stratford, CA to Art & Jenny Morris. His parents had immigrated from the Azores. Bud married the love of his life, Nadine Koontz in 1950 at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Hanford, CA. Bud was also an Air Force Veteran serving in the Korean War.
He is survived by his daughter, Valerie Brauner & husband Pat Brauner, 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Nadine Morris, son Rick Morris, brothers Art and Ernie Morris and sister Dolores Luis.
Visitation for Bud will take place on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 4 pm -6 pm at Whitehurst McNamara Funeral Home, 100 W. Bush St. Hanford. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 10 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 608 N Church St, Visalia, CA 93291. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 11680 S. 10th St., Hanford, CA.
