It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Moises "Moe" Nunez, who passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at the age of 31, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Moe was born on July 7, 1994, in Los Angeles, California, to Juan and Myra Nunez. He was raised in Hanford, where he became known for his larger-than-life personality, kind heart, and ability to bring smiles and laughter to everyone around him. Moe loved spending time with family and friends and lived life to the fullest.
He will always be remembered for his strength, fearlessness, quick wit, booming voice, and unforgettable sense of humor. Moe had a special spark about him that drew people in. Whether he was joking around, socializing with friends, or lending a helping hand to someone in need, he made a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Moe had a deep love and dedication to his family, who meant everything to him. Though their hearts are broken, they find peace in knowing he is no longer suffering and is now resting peacefully-
Among Moe's favorite hobbies and passions were bowling. playing cards, spending time at the casino, and cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys. He was also a proud fan of Mac Dre and enjoyed every opportunity to have a good time surrounded by the people he loved most.
Moe was truly loved by many and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. Though he is gone, his memory, laughter, and spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with the Recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 p.m., at Whitehurst-McNamara Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
