Manuel F. DeSantos

Dr. Manuel Francis DeSantos born October 4, 1963 - died June 23, 2026 at the age of 62.

Manny was born in Hanford at the Sacred Heart Hospital to Manuel A. and Bernice DeSantos. The youngest and only son of five children. He attended and graduated from St. Rose-Thomas McCarthy Catholic School, Hanford Union High School, Fresno State University and University of the Pacific Dental School.

God and family were important to him . Manny was a life long member of St. Brigid Catholic Church receiving all his sacraments.

Sports were always part of his life, from his youth as an all star baseball player to his many years spent on the golf links at Kings Country Club. He enjoyed attending Dodger games or watching his Minnesota Vikings on television with family and friends.

After fulfilling his childhood dream of becoming a dentist he established a family practice serving friends and families of Hanford. Manny was very gentle, caring, thoughtful, generous and loving. He liked a good joke and could pull off a good prank.

Manny met Valerie Caldera, whose mother Carmen Fierro Ortiz was a dear friend of the family. They married at Maria Lanakila Catholic Church in Lahaina, Hawaii. They marked 33 years of marriage this June.

He is survived by son, Johnny (Miranda) Jaramillo, daughter, Aniah DeSantos, grandchildren, Jason (Gabby), Jamison, Layla, Jett, great grandson, Janus, and many extended family members.

We would like to thank his office staff, hospice nurse, Cedric, Father Dan Avila, and the many friends who prayed with and for the family in Manny's final days on earth. He is resting in God's Peace. Thanks be to God.

Rosary and Funeral Mass will be Thursday, July 9th at 10:00 am St. Brigid's Catholic Church, Hanford, CA.
