Luciana Cruz Vargas

Luciana (Luci) Cruz Vargas, 77, peacefully joined her Lord and Savior on December 10, 2023, surrounded by her loving family in Laton, California. Born to Antonio Piña Cruz and Petronila Guerrero Cruz, Luci was survived by her husband Al G. Vargas. They spent 54 years of marriage working and raising children in Laton, CA.

A woman of unwavering faith, Luci found immense joy in reading the bible, gardening, writing and art. She loved her family.  She was survived by 3 brothers and 3 sisters. She had 1 daughter, Sylvia Cruz Vargas; 2 sons and their wives: Al Cruz and Veronica Miranda Vargas; George Cruz and Brooke Grace Vargas. Additionally, Luci leaves behind 4 grandchildren: Sloan Serna, Jonan, Christian and Savanna Vargas and 2 great-grandchildren Rosie and Ellie Vargas.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, beginning with visitation from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. and service at 12 p.m. at Whitehurst McNamara Funeral Home, 100 W. Bush St., Hanford, CA., Burial will immediately follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Laton, CA. Reception following services, location to be announced.
