Lois J. Stimpson

Lois Jean Stimpson, age 92, of Hanford, passed away early Sunday morning, June 30th, 2025. She was born in October 1932, in Hanford California, a daughter of the late Manuel and Serafina Bettencourt.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Stimpson; three children, Debra Stimpson, Elizabeth Stimpson, and Bill Stimpson; her brother, Ted Bettencourt and her Sister Rose Marie Mendonca.

She lived a life full of adventures and owned multiple successful businesses including a travel agency, and a restaurant with her son Bill. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends by traveling, playing tabletop and card games and seeing theater productions.

Jean is survived by one son, Robert Stimpson of Merced; two granddaughters, Nicole Quinn (Vincent) of Hanford, Alexandria Behunin (Jeritt)of Tulare; one niece, Renee Saletta (Frank) of Lodi; one nephew, Ricky Mendonca of Lodi. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral service will be held 9:30am. Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Whitehurst McNamara Funeral Service in Hanford.
