Kathy was born June 10, 1946, in West Covina Calif. to Mary and Ray Van Epps. She was adopted by Gloria and Gilbert Chavez at a very young age. And later on in life got a step-mom Pat Chavez.
Kathy worked many years at Dun’s Market in Riverdale, State of Calif EDD in Hanford and State of Calif Disability in Fresno for 30 years. For a few years she worked 3 jobs: Dun’s, State of Calif., and her dad’s restaurant
Kathy was so excited she was about to become a great grandma. When she found out Anisa was pregnant, she called everyone and said…guess what I’m going to be a great grandma. Well she was a great mom, great gram to Anisa, and was just a few months short of great grandma.
Kathy loved to knit on looms. Family often received a text with a picture of her latest project. Her other hobbies were watching Date Line and loved playing cards.
She was a loving, caring, giving and forgiving lady. And did she ever have a sense of humor.
Kathy is survived by her daughter Kathy Estrada, granddaughter Anisa Estrada (Tyler) and soon to be great granddaughter Miss Kennedy Marie. She is also survived by many brothers and sisters. Nieces, nephews and cousins. And family pets Sassy and Kiya.
