John J. Quair

John Quair was born to Victoria and Jess Quair on November 17, 1935. He peacefully passed away on November 13, 2023, with his beloved wife at his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Carlos, 3 grandchildren and all 8 of his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife, Mary, his daughter Joann, 7 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.

John spent the majority of his working years in farm labor. John’s favorite pastime was singing and playing his guitar, as well as fishing. He is fondly remembered for entertaining his family by singing Roy Orbison and other popular singer’s songs while playing his guitar. He was able to sing those songs with an amazing ability to sound like Roy and others he was mimicking while singing. His rendition of Roy’s songs were such a delight to his family. His musical and vocal talents will forever be fondly remembered by the many who were blessed to hear him. He will be greatly missed by his family.

Funeral services for John will begin with visitation on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, from 9am – 11:30am at Whitehurst McNamara Funeral Chapel, 100 W. Bush St., Hanford, CA.  Funeral Service will be from 11:30am – 12:45pm also at Whitehurst McNamara Funeral Chapel. A graveside service and burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 11680 S. 10th Ave, Hanford, CA.
