John Steven Gomez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Johnny. Who left this world on Monday December 2, 2024, at the age of 51. Johnny was born on July 14, 1973 in the state of Texas, and was raised in Hanford Ca. Johnny attended Hanford High School. Johnny was a man of many talents holding numerous jobs. One of his passions was sitting in peace working on puzzles. He was a man of immense humor. He was adored and loved by many. He made friends and left a lasting impact everywhere he went. Though he touched many lives, the lives most important to him were those of his family and friends.

He is survived by his girlfriend of 12 years Barbara Aranda and her extended family. His children are Johnny (Hanford), Freddie (Hanford), Faustino(Hanford), Adam, Anthony, Alyssa and Alexandra of Texas. His father Joe and mother Janie Cota. His sister Jessica Molina (Luis) and brother Joseph Cota. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Johnny is preceded in death by his sister Tricia Garnica of Hanford. The family would like to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers through the years and during this difficult time

A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Whitehurst McNamara Funeral Home, 100 W Bush St. in Hanford from 4 pm to 7pm, with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6pm. The Funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 20, 2024, at St Brigid’s Catholic Church, 200 E Florinda St, in Hanford at 10:00am, immediately followed by a reception at St. Johns Hall, 8301 81/2 Ave, Hanford. A private burial will be held at a later date for the family
