Joe Guzman Jr.

Joe Guzman Jr., aged 64, passed away on October 2, 2024, in West Covin CA. Born on December 21, 1959, Joe was known for his love for barbecues, fruit, corn, menudo and enjoying a cold beer. He was a son, brother, husband and a remarkable father, Joe began his career at a young age, working for various farming operations, including Sanchez Farming, Lionel Semas Farming and Pederson Farms. He retired from Silveira Ag. where he was a foreman specializing in irrigation and laser land leveling. Joe was dedicated to passing on his legacy and expertise to his sons. Joe’s hobbies include watching his favorite football team Dallas Cowboys play on T.V., watering his grass, making sure he kept it green. And enjoying his time playing the slot machines. Joe is survived by his children Lisa Guzman Montes, Joseph Guzman, Melissa Guzman, Christopher Guzman and Jason Guzman along with his grandchildren Francisco Jr. Arianna, Julio Jr. Joeziah, Jayda, Jayce, Mason and Maddie. Joe was married to Maria Amaral Guzman for 27 years, with whom he shared six children. Joe is also survived by his five sisters, numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, godchildren and many friends. He was preceded into death by his daughter Maryjoe, sister Jessie Murrieta and his parents Joe and Tillie Guzman. Services for Joe are as follows: The Viewing will begin at 11:30 a.m. Rosary at 12:00 p.m. and Mass at 12:30 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. The burial will be at Calvary Cemetery following the mass. There will be a luncheon after interment, at The Elks Lodge
