Today we celebrate the life of Joe A Dias, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was born January 6, 1930, in Lompoc, California on San Julian Ranch, to father, Manuel and mother, Catherine Dias. He was taken from this world, April 12, 2026. He was surrounded by loved ones when he passed. Joe was married to the love of his life, Elsie L Dias. They were married at St. Brigid Church in Hanford, California. They were married for 75 wonderful years. They had two sons, Joey Dias and Lionel Dias.
Joe went into the military in 1951. He fought in the Korean war. Then when he returned home, he started working at Lacey milling. He left the milling company to work on Morris Ranch. After a few years, he started working for Metal Vineyard Products and worked there for 35 years. Joe was a loving husband father and grandfather. He loved his family and they meant the world to him whether they were bbqing, just watching TV or fishing. He loved to fish and hunt and tell some of the best stories. He also loved to do word searches while he was relaxing in his recliner. People who knew Joe knew how delicious his bbq sauce was and the tomatoes he raised were some of the best around. He could talk forever about his childhood.
Joe leaves behind his wife of 75 years Elsie Dias his son Lionel Dias, Lionel’s wife Kimberly and their children Cole Dias and wife Stephanie, Matthew Silva and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
