Javier Puga Rios, 68, entered eternal rest on January 29, 2024, while surrounded by his family. Javier was born to Francisco and Abigail Puga on May 21, 1955 in Los Ranchos de Epejan, Michoacan, Mexico.
Javier known lovingly as “Pipa '' was a dedicated family man who was always there when you needed him. He moved to the United States at the young age of 14 and began his long farming career. He married the love of his life, Lucila in 1982. They had 3 children. Although Javier would work long hours, he always made time for his family. He would take his children on vacations to wherever his dear Vicky desired. He passed down his passion for soccer to his sons and attended all of their games across the state. He made lifelong memories by taking them to their first wrestling event, Mexico soccer game, and 49ers game. He worked until the age of 65. In his retirement, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially cheering them on at sporting events.
Javier fought his battle with cancer for 3 long years and managed his illness with strength and grace. Despite spending much of his time in and out of the hospital he never lost his sense of humor. He always had the ability to make others laugh and his sense of humor will be missed.
Javier is survived by his wife Lucila and three children, Vicky (Edgar) Reyes, Carlos (Ana) Puga, Javier (Angela) Puga. Nine grandchildren Damian, Jazlynn, Caylee, Alexa, Gavin, Christian, Carlitos, Javi and Olivia. Six brothers Arturo, Ramon, Luis, Rodolfo, Francisco, Alfredo. Four sisters Ofelia, Virginia, Trinidad and Margarita. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Javier is predeceased by his parents Francisco and Abigail Puga.
