With grace and peace, we share that Isabel Ramos went home to be with the Lord on October 20, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on March 1, 1953, in King City, California, Isabel spent nearly her entire life in Hanford, California, where she built her home, raised her family, and lived a life rooted in faith, love, and quiet strength.
Isabel was the cherished daughter of Jose and Dolores Longoria, both of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Danny Ramos, whom she married in 1971. Together they shared a life filled with deep devotion and steady companionship.
She is lovingly remembered by her children Sarah, David, and Robert, who were her greatest joy, and by her beloved dog Ziva, her faithful companion. Her grand-dog Duke also held a very special place in her heart.
Isabel is survived by her siblings Dolores Hernandez, Josephine Longoria, Anna Hernandez, Rosemary Hernandez, Joe Longoria, and Julian Longoria, and she is reunited in heaven with her brother Salvador Ortega.
For over 20 years, Isabel served children and families through her work at UCP of Central California. She was deeply appreciated for her calm presence, her gentle nature, and her quiet humor that would appear in unexpected little moments. Her kindness was soft-spoken yet powerful, and she brought comfort simply by being herself.
In her quiet moments at home, she enjoyed working on puzzles, doing word games, reading her Bible, and finding peace in simple blessings. Her faith was her foundation, steady and sincere and lived through actions more than words. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she spent many years attending Koinonia Christian Fellowship in Hanford, where she found peace, comfort, and community. She loved cuddling with Ziva and Duke, and found joy in slow mornings, warm sunlight, and time spent close to those she loved.
Though she was reserved, she carried a deep and enduring love that touched her family profoundly. Her gentle strength, patience, and unwavering faith guided her throughout her life and continue to guide those who love her.
Her gentle presence will remain in our hearts forever.
In every quiet moment, and in every sunflower lifting itself toward the light, we will remember her gentle spirit.
Per her wishes, Isabel will be cremated and there will be no viewing. A memorial and celebration of life will take place on November 8, 2025 at Whitehurst-McNamara Funeral Home in Hanford.
