Gerald "Jerry" Toste

Jerry Toste was born in Hanford, CA on April 5, 1954, and passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the age of 70, after a brief battle with illness.

Jerry, the oldest of 5 children, was born to Manuel and Margaret Toste. He is survived by his mother, Margaret Toste, brothers Steve and Manuel (Shawnee) Toste both of Hanford and his sister Cheryl (Steve) Brown of Washington. He leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Toste and his brother, Gene Toste.

Jerry worked side by side, the majority of his life, with his family in the family business, Toste Trucking, hauling hay. Anyone who knew Jerry knew he was happy watching his 49ers or anything on GRIT/ME TV, drinking a Pepsi and eating something sweet. Jerry’s greatest joy was playing with his nieces and nephews and talking about his dog, Pumpkin.

Funeral services are Wednesday, November 6, 2024; visitation 8:30 -9:30am at Whitehurst McNamara Funeral Home, Rosary at 10:00am at St. Brigid Catholic Church with Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30am. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Hanford, CA.
