Georgina Nevarez Flores

Georgina Nevarez Flores of Avenal Ca, age 50, was called to be with the lord September 28, 2020. Born in Mexicali B.C. She moved to Avenal at age 8 where she attended the local area schools and graduated Avenal High School with the class of 1989. She was employed by KCAO for 18 years where she performed various duties. ?Georgina loved her community of Avenal and the people she served. Whether it was transporting children, maintaining a safe classroom or recruiting for future students. She was the go to person and someone who could be counted on to help wherever and whenever needed. She was truly an asset for the community and for anyone that had the privilege of knowing her. She was very compassionate? about serving her community.??? Georgina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. In her spare time Georgina loved to sing and dance while spending time with her family. She enjoyed sewing and loved watching her favorite football team, The Dallas Cowboys play. Georgina is survived by her parents Jose and Maria Yzquierdo of Avenal Ca, Vicente Ramirez of Rialto Ca, husband Luis Flores of Avenal Ca, Her children Maria, Elizabeth, Ian (Amanda), Juan Manuel, Maritza & Adonis of Avenal Ca., Five grandchildren, Alaysha, Ely, Yetzali, Travis & Rylee. Siblings Cutberto (Marisol) Nevarez of Lemoore Ca., Esmeralda (Antonio) Gonzales of Hanford Ca., Flor (Victor) Arechiga, Marina (Jimmy) Zaragoza of Lemoore Ca., Vicente Ramirez,Veronica Ramirez and numerous nieces and nephews who she adored and loved. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Jose Carmen and Maria Gertrudis Nevarez, her aunts Eloisa Tirado and Maria Nevarez. Her uncle Socorro Ramirez. Cousins Yanina González, Jose Garcia, Ana Nevarez, Lorena Madueña, Anissa Lopez. Nephew Jose Manuel Aguirre.

Visitation will be Wednesday 10/7/2020 4-7 PM at Whitehurst McNamara Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be Friday 10/9/2020 at 10 AM at St. Jospeh's Catholic Church in Avenal. Burial will be private.
