Freddy Hernandez Obituary
On Wednesday October 7th 2020, Freddy Hernandez passed away unexpectedly. The last decade had been a rollercoaster ride of accomplishments and setbacks in his health after an unforeseen car accident that nearly took him from us in August of 2010. He was a very strong man, who even in his hardest days managed to fight and overcome anything thrown at him so he could go home to his family. This time was different, sadly he passed away at 10:47pm with his wife, 3 children and eldest grandson by his side.
Freddy was the youngest of his siblings, he was born on July 28th, 1969 in Coalinga, CA to Refugio Machuca Hernandez & Josefita Mora Hernandez, In his younger years he traveled from Texas to California before placing roots in Huron, Ca. He later moved to and had recently resided in Hanford, CA. He attended Huron Elementary and would later graduate from Coalinga Highschool. In May of ‘89 he would marry his wife of 31 years, Caroline Vinton and have 3 children.
Freddy, was a very hardworking man with many job titles, he was a truck driver, he worked in Farm Labor as a mechanic and later worked as a Shop Manager where he sold parts for Tomato harvesters. He also had a love for mechanics. Every Sunday you'd find him watching Raiders football. In his spare time he loved working on projects around the house, spending time with his wife and playing with his grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his parents (Refugio & Josefita Hernandez), grandparents (Gaspar & Julia Hernandez, Eva & Pablo Mora), Brother (David Hernandez), father and mother in-law (John & Mary Vinton) and brother in-law (James Robert Vinton), among others. He is survived by his Wife (Caroline Hernandez), 3 Children (KC Gonzales, Janessa Hernandez, James Robert Vinton-Hernandez) and 8 Grandchildren (Jacob, Jason, Mia, Jackson Fredrick, Megan, Jett, Miles, Mark). And several siblings and many nieces and nephews.
Per his wishes to be cremated there will be a viewing prior to cremation on October 31st, 2020 from 11am-3pm at Whitehurst-McNamara Funeral Home, 100 W. Bush St., Hanford, CA 93230
