Frank Edward Silva, 66, of Hanford, California passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Thursday, July 25, 2024. He was born on November 2, 1957, to Adeline and Francisco Silva.
Frank grew up in Hanford until 1976 when he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps for 3 years, where he excelled to the rank of sergeant. He returned home to Hanford where he began his career that spanned over 40 years as a local dry cleaner of Fashion Cleaners. Throughout his career he was a generous and ambitious businessman who owned and operated multiple dry cleaners throughout the Central Valley, as well as pursuing other business endeavors. However, Fashion Cleaners of Hanford was Frank’s pride and joy and he eventually focused all of his efforts into making it the thriving business it is today. Although many see him as a good businessman of high integrity, he would always refer to himself as the dry cleaner of Fashion Cleaners. He was widely known as the best dry cleaner in all of California and was the gold standard in the business.
Frank’s passions expanded beyond that of his career and was regularly involved in his community. He served as a member of the Hanford Elks Organization for 45 years, the Hanford Rotary Club for 29 years (president 2022-2023), and the American Legion for 5 years. In his spare time, Frank enjoyed riding his motorcycle and RV camping. He has traveled to all 50 states and has ridden his motorcycle throughout 49 states. Frank was truly an American patriot. He participated in the annual Run for the Wall 14 times, riding his motorcycle cross-country to the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. to honor veterans and their families.
Above all Frank prioritized God and family, and devoutly strived to live according to his faith. He possessed a deep love for his family and friends that spread throughout the community of Hanford and beyond. He viewed his employees as family and his friends as brothers and sisters, and was always looking out for the best interest of those around him. Frank’s laughter was contagious, and he was known to have a mischievous and fun-loving side that brought joy to those around him. He is revered as a man of high integrity, and has enriched countless lives with his wisdom and guidance. He cherished his role as a loving father, uncle, and godparent, leaving behind countless memories that will endure forever.
Frank Edward Silva is survived by his daughter, Lacee Williams; son-in-law Xavier Williams; sisters Rosemary Andre and Marlene Silva; brother-in-law Manuel Andre; and nephews Manuel Jr., Steven, Jason, Justin, and Brandon Andre. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adeline and Francisco Silva; and his brother, Manual Silva.
Frank will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will continue to inspire and uplift those who were fortunate enough to have shared in his life’s journey.
