On September 26, 2024, Frank Espinoza Gallegos passed away of natural causes.
Frank was born February 17, 1943, in Hanford, CA to Frank M. and Eleanor Gallegos. In 1962 he married his high school sweetheart Gloria Cruz Mejia of Hanford. Together they raised their family in their hometown, and they travelled throughout California and the West Coast enjoying many adventures. Later in life Frank was blessed to marry a second time to Ms. Delia “Eva” Chavez. Eva was a wonderful companion to Frank in his last years.
Frank was twice retired. First from the Kings County Sheriff’s Department, where he was a Deputy for 32 years and second from the Tulare Count D.A.’s office, where he was an investigator. Dad truly loved being a Deputy and serving his hometown. He was the definition of the saying “To Protect and Serve”. He was a long-time volunteer for many sports and community organizations. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church since the church opened in 1948. In the early 70’s he started a youth group (all on his own time) for at risk teens, called “the Outsiders”. He coached and umpired Little League, Babe Rutch baseball and coached softball. He was a frequent cheerleader at many local sporting events, cheering on his children, grandchildren and friends. He most loved all things Hanford High School. He loved Mom’s cooking; they both were always quick to have family and friends over for a meal with many laughs and stories. In addition to his family and the Bullpups he was a diehard fan of the Fresno State Bulldogs, the San Francisco Giants, and the 49ers.
He is survived by his wife of 18 months, Eva, his children Patrice Gallegos, and Frank Chris (Cathy) Gallegos. Also, by his 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He is survived by three sisters, Elisa Acosta (Ernest) of Chino Hills, Martha Valdez (Marc) of Hanford, and Susana Chavarria (Larry) of Lemoore. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Additionally, he is survived by Eva’s 3 children, Gustavo Rodriguez, Atenas Rodriguez, and Selenne Rodriguez and their families. Frank is preceded in death by his wife Gloria Gallegos, his parents Frank & Elanor, his daughter Charlene Gallegos, and son Philip Gallegos and his brother Alfred Gallegos.
The family would like to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers though the years.
