Dolores Luna

Dolores Garcia Luna, age 88, entered into heaven on August 19, 2024, in Lemoore, California. She was born on January 24, 1936, in Martindale, Texas, to Urbano and Sabastiana Garcia. Dolores grew up in Corcoran, California and married the love of her life, Delfino Luna on October 20, 1958. Together they had 5 children: Andrea, Joe, Angel, Cleo, and Steven. Dolores devoted her life to her family, creating a loving and safe home for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Dolores loved spending time in the kitchen, dancing while creating delicious meals for her family. Sewing, crocheting, music, and creating family memories brought joy to her life. A core memory will always be making tamales with her during the holiday season. Dolores was a beautiful, loving, and caring woman, who always put her family first. Her devotion to the ones she loved was unparalleled. She will be deeply missed and forever loved. Dolores is preceded in death by her parents Urbano and Sabastiana Garcia, her husband Delfino Luna, and son in law Sylvester Vega. She is survived by her 5 children, 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Consuelo Garcia and Virginia Zuniga, and 2 brothers, Jesse and Refugio Garcia. A Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on September 12, 2024, at St. Peter Prince of the Apostles Parish, in Lemoore, California. Mass on September 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. followed by graveside services at the Calvary Cemetery, in Hanford, California.
