It is with great sadness the family of Diana Lee Dillon announces her passing on December 19th, 2023.
She passed peacefully with her husband Mark by her side. Diana was born November 17, 1958, in Hanford, California to Robert and Floreeta Robison. She attended local area schools and graduated from Hanford High School in 1976.
After graduating she started working for the Bank of America as a proof operator. Over her 34 year career with the bank, Diana trained employees and worked various positions in Lemoore and Visalia, retiring as the Assistant Operations Officer of the Hanford Branch.
To know Diana was to know what true love and beauty is. She had a heart of gold, sincerely cared about others, and saw the good in everyone. The accomplishment Diana was most proud of was her family. She married Mark in 1979, Diana's love increased with the birth of their son Kevin, and again years later when Kevin and his wife Tiffany blessed her with two grandchildren.
She delighted in the good times & was a comforter during the hard times. The love in her heart was always available to her family and friends. Diana's love never failed.
Diana loved animals of all kinds, but her heart melted for puppies. She always spoiled them rotten to the point anywhere in the house she would go, her little fur-baby was not far behind.
Diana loved gardening. She loved to create a masterpiece in her gardens that always included the color purple. She wasn't afraid of worms or to get her hands dirty. I invite you to remember Diana when planting your favorite flowers next year.
Diana joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and became acquainted with genealogy; it immediately developed into her passion. She traveled to various states with her Mother during her research and afterwards rejoiced in the discoveries they made. She worked part time as a consultant at the church’s public history center and loved helping people discover their family roots.
Arranging an adventurous trip was something Diana became exceptionally good at, traveling to Canada, Germany, Italy and China, along with many locations throughout the United States, she had the ability to create exciting vacations.
Diana truly loved her family, cherishing every moment spent with them. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Mark Dillon, her son Kevin Dillon and daughter-in-law Tiffany Dillon of Hanford. She was blessed with two loving grandchildren, Kali and Mason Dillon who were the center of her universe. Diana is also survived by her father Robert Robison, mother Floreeta Corder, brother Keith Robison and sister-in-law Mary Robison also from Hanford, sister-in-law Sherill Calhoun & her husband Ron Calhoun of Juliaetta, Idaho, along with a number of cousins local and afar.
Funeral Services will take place on Saturday January 13th ,2024 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints located at 2400 N. 11th Avenue in Hanford, California starting at 9:00am. After church services there will be a short graveside services at Grangeville Cemetery in Armona followed by a reception for family and close friends back at the church. In her honor, a touch of purple will be the color of the day.
