Consuelo "Candy" Loper

Consuelo C. Loper know to family and friends as “Candy” passed away Friday, February 14, 2020 in Visalia surrounded by her family. Candy was born July 28, 1944 in Hanford, CA to Alfonso and Virginia Casares. She married James Loper in Reno, NV in 1977.

Candy was a wife, mother and homemaker for many years. She also worked as a bar-tender at the Cottage in Hanford. In years past, she loved to play pool and even competed in local pool tournaments. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles in her leisure time.

Candy is survived by her sons; John Thomas Johnson of Sylmar, CA and Dawne Allen Johnson of Tennessee. She leaves 5 grandchildren; Jacqui, Nicole, Vanessa, Keana, and John Thomas Jr. as well as 4 great grandchildren; Hazel, Michael, Skye and Thomas. Also surviving are her sisters; Lupe Velo, Mary Valle, Barbara Hermosillo, Carmen Shephard, Rita and Beatrice Ramirez.

Visitation for Candy will be on Wednesday, February 19, 2019 from 4:00-8:00 pm with a Rosary beginning at 6:00pm at Whitehurst McNamara Funeral Home, 100 W. Bush St, Hanford. Funeral mass will take place on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 10:00 am at Immaculate Heart Of Mary Catholic Church, 10355 Hanford-Armona Rd, Hanford. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 11680 S. 10th Ave, Hanford.
