Clarence “Boogie” Thomas, age 62, of Hanford, California, born February 1, 1961 passed away in the early morning of October 31, 2023 while at Adventist Health Hanford hospital.
Boogie was a dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend to many. Boogie is preceded in death by his parents Dorothy May Thomas and Clarence Edward Thomas and sister Sharon Thomas. Boogie left behind his sisters Deanna Davis, Kelly Barnett, Judie Thomas, Michelle Thomas and his brother Russel Thomas. He is survived by his two sons Chadwin Thomas, Matthew Thomas and daughter Demi Thomas. Boogie was blessed with 5 grandchildren; Trahew Thomas (14), Brody Thomas (12), Briella Thomas (9), Lochlan Thomas (7) and Zayden Weiger (1). Boogie had a good relationship and was best friends with the mother of his children, Laura Spriggs. He loved his daughters-in-law Christina Thomas, Tracie Thomas and son in law Trevor Weiger as if they were his own. Boogie is survived by his girlfriend of 20 years, Teresa Wirtz.
Boogie served his community for decades in Tulare and Kings County through his own pool business, AAAA Pool Master. He was extremely loyal to his clientele. Boogie’s love and admiration for the game of baseball was immeasurable. He played baseball for most of his life and was a little league coach to many, including his boys. His favorite MLB team was the San Francisco Giants. Boogie loved spoiling his grandchildren and spending time with them through attending their school events, activities, and sports. He used terms of endearment and would always text, “Give them kisses from papa Boogie.” Boogie will always be loved and missed by his family and friends.
A celebration of life for Boogie will be held on November 21, 2023 at 1:00 pm, at the Hanford Elks Lodge located at 506 N. Douty Street in Hanford, California. Reception meal to follow right after.
