Bell Rose Facchini (Cardoza), born on September 28, 1929, passed away in Hanford on December 2, 2024, at the age of 95. Bell was a beloved wife, mother, vava and great-vava known for her unwavering love for her family.
Bell was a dedicated homemaker who spent her life creating a loving and nurturing environment for her family. In addition to her devotion to her family, Bell had a deep love for all animals (dog, cat, rat, ferret, snake or bunny) and almost always had 2 dachshunds by her side. She also had a passel of cats that lived on her patio that never went hungry. She enjoyed people watching, as they lived near an elementary school and we’d regularly find her perched up in her window watching the kids walk home from school.
Bell was the ultimate host. In many years past, she entertained large Thanksgiving feasts for close to 100 people as well as smaller Christmas dinners. If someone had no place to go for a holiday, she always made sure they had a spot on her table. She would organize pregame football spaghetti dinners for her son’s high school teams. Her outspokenness, bold sense of humor and unwavering love for her family will be sorely missed.
A true fan of sports, Bell was especially passionate about the San Francisco Giants, all of NFL football, the USC Trojans and Fresno State Bulldogs. She enjoyed every moment of watching games, celebrating victories and sharing her enthusiasm with friends and family. Her love for sports was matched only by her love for her family and the joy they brought to her life.
Bell was preceded in death by her parents, Belmida and Joe N. Cardoza and brothers Joe, Demas, Melvin, John and Frank. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Bill (Leo) Facchini; daughter Tina Cardoza; sons Mark (Luanne) Facchini and Steve (Karin) Facchini; her brother Eddie (Helen) Cardoza; grandchildren Kaelyn Elledge, Grayson (Taylor) Cardoza, Brennen (Alex) Facchini, Morgan (Willie) Hooten, Hudson Facchini, Hannah Facchini, Illissa Facchini and Jenna Facchini; and her cherished great-grandchildren Lillian Elledge, Eden Hooten, Ezra Hooten, and Hazel Cardoza.
Her family, friends, and all who knew her will forever remember her for her warmth, generosity, and the enduring love she shared with everyone she met. Bell’s legacy of kindness, devotion, and love will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the countless lives she touched.
A celebration of Bell’s life will be held on December 19. The viewing will be held at Whitehurst McNamara funeral home from 8:30am-9:30am. A recitation of the rosary and funeral mass will begin at 10am at St. Bridgid Church. Following the mass, Bell will be laid to rest at Grangeville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to their favorite charities in her memory.
