Alicia Frances Velasco

Alicia Frances Velasco, 56, of Riverdale, Ca. passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 at St. Agnes Medical Center with her devoted husband by her side. Alicia was born August 8, 1964 in Jacksonville, FL. She married Michael Scott Boyce in Italy on November 8, 2000. Her Father was in the Air force and Alicia grew up in many places including the Philippines, Hawaii, and Florida. She attended Catholic school in Hawaii. She earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of North Florida. She was vice president of her mother's chocolate business. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Holy Cross Chaplaincy Catholic Church. Alicia radiated the Love and joy of the Lord and it exuded from her in the way she treated others and in the way she lived her life. Alicia had a quiet confidence about her that lit up a room with her big personality and a smile that radiated Gods love. She had a way of making everyone feel special and appreciated. Her love for God showed in the way she lived and in the way she cared about people, animals and life. Her biggest joy was being a wife a homemaker, and a mom to her pets. Family was very important to Alicia. She was the oldest of 4 children and was a loving and devoted older sister. Alicia had a very special place in her heart for animals, especially cats. She loved to rescue and take care of them as if they were her children.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years Michael Boyce, her father Felipe G.Velasco Sr (Carol), her mother Adrienne Sinclair (Dan), her sister Elizabeth, brothers Felipe Velasco Jr and Christian Velasco (Jessica). Her niece Emily and nephews Logan, Michael and James. Also her beloved dogs Beauty, Chance and her cats.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst-McNamara Funeral Home (100 Bush St.) in Hanford, on Tuesday August 25, 2020 from 5:00 to 7:00 with a chapel blessing at 6:00 and a memorial service held on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 9:00 am at Sunflower Fields Cemetery (9660 18th Ave.) in Lemoore, Ca.
