Alice Estrada

Alice Estrada of Hanford, California passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026 at the age of 92.   She was born in Santa Rita, New Mexico on October 26, 1933 to Jesus and Salustia Sanchez.   She graduated from high school and moved to the Los Angeles area for a short time before moving to Hanford where she worked for Kings County Mental Health Department as a secretary.   She married Robert Estrada on February 23, 1963.   She became a paralegal and worked for the law firm of Griswold, LaSalle, Cobb, Dowd & Gin from 1981 to 1997, retiring at the age of 64.  She loved to play cards with her sisters and spending time with he grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Alice is survived by sons Rob Estrada of Hanford, California; Dany Estrada of Hanford, California; and daughters Tricia Campa and husband Roy Campa of Visalia, California; Carol Bettencourt and husband Rolland Bettencourt of Hanford, California and Cheryl Laboa of Hanford, California.  Her grandchildren include Cassandra Campa; Carlos Campa and wife Nikki Campa; Joshua Bettencourt; Jordan Bettencourt; Lauren Bettencourt and husband Jerico Halog; Justin Coon and wife Alyssa Coon and Jenna Coon.  Alice also had 13 great grandchildren; Kaden, Ava, Teagan, Amaya and Camryn Campa; Ameera Sethi; Jade and Gage Coon; Davin Castro; Mia and Daymon Walker; Emma and Maverick Bettencourt and Maddix and Penelope Halog.

A rosary for Alice will be held at Whitehurst-McNamara Funeral Home, 100 West Bush Street, Hanford, California on Thursday, July 23rd at 6:00 p.m. with viewing from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  A funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 24th at St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, 200 E. Florinda, Hanford, California with a reception to immediately follow at the Thomas McCarthy School Hall.
